New Features
Document and Analyze Performance of Tableau Views during Regression Testing
Gain precise insights into the performance of opening Tableau Views, crucial for regression testing after upgrades and migrations, especially to Tableau Cloud.
This feature helps identify any changes in performance, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal user experience.
Feature Details:
The view_source_opening_duration and view_target_opening_duration fields capture the time taken to open visualizations, accurate to the third decimal place.
Updates to the PostgreSQL Integration:
The regression_view_details table has a new column: view_opening_duration
The crossenvironment_view_details table has new columns:
view_target_urlview_source_opening_durationview_target_opening_duration
Important: The existing column view_url in the crossenvironment_view_details table is renamed to view_source_url (The existing data in the view_url column will be retained).
No reconfiguration needed; updates and changes to the database schema are applied automatically.
This feature is available in the PostgreSQL integration for Regression and Cross-environment tests only.
The performance data is recorded at the end of the test when the PostgreSQL integration is processed.
Enhanced Summary for Functional Test Reports
Quickly access a comprehensive overview of Tableau Views opened during Functional tests, improving the clarity and efficiency of test report analysis.
The list of Tableau Views opened during Functional tests will be added to the top of the report within the “Summary” container.
These Tableau Views are also hyperlinks that, when clicked, will open the Tableau View in Tableau in a new tab in your browser.
Resolved Issues
▪ User-provided information may appear in Debug mode logs (Impact: High)
Description: When running regression tests with integrations, user-provided information may be displayed in the Debug logs.
