Efficient Functional Snapshots: Exclude Unnecessary Filters and Parameters

Summary: In this release, we have improved the snapshot functionality within Functional Tests. Previously, when taking a snapshot, all data—including filters and parameters—was retrieved, even though this information was not necessary for task design. With this update, filters and parameters are excluded from the snapshot process, streamlining and optimizing task design.

Details:

• Remove the filter values retrieved when taking a snapshot from Functional Test ONLY
• Remove the parameter values retrieved when taking a snapshot from Functional Test ONLY

Bug Fixes

▪ No files found in the download directory error trying to take a baseline of a large Worksheet (Impact: Medium)
Description: The download finishes in error when taking a snapshot of a Worksheet displaying a lot of data in a very long image.

▪ Unable to retrieve summary data from specific Dashboard (Impact: Medium)
Description: On specific Dashboards between Tableau 2022.3 and Tableau 2023.3, the summary data is not retrieved correctly.
