How to create a 360Bind Export Task through an Excel sheet

How to move create Bind export task through an Excel Sheet.

Environment

  • 360Bind
  • SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1
  • SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.0
  • SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.1
  • SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.2


Resolution


You can either retrieve the empty Template from  Schedule Job --> New job --> Manage Assisted Task --> use this template , or create a simple export task  and export it (Tools --> document Bind Export Tasks)

Each line of the Excel sheet is for a single task

important columns : 
  1. Column A - Task ID   : leave it empty  to create new task
  2. Column B  Task Title : specify the title of the job
  3. Column C CMS  : specify the CMS to be used
  4. Column D User Name : specify the User Name to be used
  5. Column E Password  : specify the password to be used
  6. Column F Authentication  : specify the authentication type to be used
  7. Column G Document : specify all the CUIDs of documents, use  ";"  to separate the CUIDs.
  8. Column J and K  : specify the Frequency Type and the Frequency  : see the how to tabs of the Excel sheets
  9. Column W, X, Y : Specify the project, the category, the format ( XML for Webi doc)
  1. Column AG :   you can leave the column empty  to let 360bind retrieve the last values or default values of the prompt  

Alternative, you can generate the whole file and the column AG with an ETL solution, Talend Studio for example.
To retrieve prompts for your reports, you use 360eyes ou 360View.
