"could not send the result email..." error when doing a 360Bind Comparison task with option to send comparison results by email

Reproducing the issue

1. Create a Comparison Job.
   
2. As part of the Comparison Job, select the option Excel: Send Comparison detail.
   
3. Schedule the task.
   
4. The task completes with a warning. In the logs, there's the following error: "could not send the result email: java.lang.ClassCastException: Cannot cast class com.gbs.bind.model.excel.BindExcelFile to class com.gbs.bind.model.xml.BindXmlFile".
   

Cause

The option "Send comparison detail" is not applicable for Excel files. Use "Send comparison summary" only when working with Excel files. 

Resolution

1. When working with Excel export files in a 360Bind Comparison job, only use the option Excel: Send Comparison summary.
