Symptom

How to move 360Bind tasks from one Project to another Project.

Environment

360Bind
SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1
SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.0

Resolution

The tasks must be “Pending” for the update to work.
Only Export tasks can be updated, the comparison tasks cannot be changed.

1. From 360Bind, go to the Schedule Tab > Schedule Bind.
2. Under Shortcuts, Select Filter > Export tasks so only those are displayed.

3. For each task you want to update the project for, click

Update and change Frequency drop-down to Once. Schedule for a future date, then click update. This will update the Status to Pending, allowing them to be exported.

4. Select all Pending tasks you want to update by checking the box at the far right.

5. Then click Document Bind Export tasks, under Shortcuts > Tools.

6. This will export an excel file. There will be a column for Project (column W), update this to the Project you want to change to for each row in the excel file. Save the file.
7. Add this file to BusinessObjects (the other option is to add to the server). Log into the BI Launchpad, go to a folder and select New > Local Document

8. Browse to the excel file you updated.
9. Once the excel file is loaded, right click on the file and select Properties. You will need the CUID from this file, see picture below, CUID is highlighted. Copy and Save this to a file so you can get to it.

10. Go back to 360, go to the Schedule tab and select Schedule jobs. You may not have rights to this under Schedule Tasks.

11. Create a task, follow instructions below.
12. Click Schedule to update.
